Genus is passionately committed to employee development. We value our staff and encourage each individual to feel that their role is universally recognised and valued.
We invest in our people through carefully constructed personal development plans (PDPs), tailor made for each individual. Through these plans employees are able to identify personal strengths and areas for development as well as being able to document and plan their career aspirations. Training and development plans are then discussed and put into place to enable individuals to develop and achieve their personal and company goals.
We endeavour to develop people internally for the majority of key positions within Genus and key to our succession planning is the PDP programme. Employees are encouraged to have weekly updates and monthly one to ones with their manager to ensure objectives and training support are on track and set goals are being achieved.
We foster a culture of ongoing coaching and feedback for all employees. A variety of formal and informal resources are available to help, including a 360-degree feedback process and external coaching, within our PDP program. We also encourage formal and informal mentoring relationships to assist development.
